Ray "Big Bossman" Traylor passed away suddenly at his home tonight. Traylor, who was 42, got his start as Jim Cornette's bodyguard Big Bubba Rogers in 1986 after he left his job as a prison guard in Marietta, GA.

After leaving Crockett promotions over pay, his real life job became is gimmick as the Big Bossman, the evil prison guard, who had a big run with Hulk Hogan.

He was also a major star with All Japan Pro Wrestling as Big Bubba in the 90s, before returning to the WWF in recent years.

At this point his death is a mystery. He had not been complaining of feeling bad, other than a bad knee. His wife found him in a room tonight and he wasn't breathing. Paramedics were unable to revive him.

What did he look like? When was he wrasslin'? If he was in the 80's (early to mid, around the time Ricky Dragon was BIG), I might know who he was.

Either way, sad to read.

The Big Bossman used to have a police uniform, goatee beard, flat-top hair, nightstick, shades. He came back in recent years as a bodyguard, all in black.

Yeah, O.K., this is a newer picture, but he is pretty much who I was thinking of.

hah wrestling, i was just sitting in a bar with Bam Bam Bigelow (is that how you spell his last name? is that his last name?) a few weeks ago. he lives around here and owns a restaurant (i use that term loosely) i never watched wrestling so i had no idea who he was until my friend told me. he has flames (i think they were) tattooed on his head and he is quite round to put it nicely. i thought being a wrestler he would have been bigger but i didn't have to look up to him, i couldn't see around him though, i will give him that. he is a really nice guy, real down to earth. he was telling us some pretty interesting stories. told us about the time he ran through a wall in a burning house once to save a kid (long story) and how when one wrestling company bought out the other wrestling company that he worked for he stopped wrestling but still got paid an ungodly amount (like 20,000 a month) cuz he was still under contract. plus he bought most of the rounds, good check in my book.
